Day two at the MTC

Today was another exciting day after having a good nights sleep.  Our training started at 8:00 a.m. with instructions on preparing a lesson on the Restoration.  We practiced it with our companions, and then in the afternoon, we returned to our apartments and an "investigator" came knocking on our door.   We each took turns teaching parts of the lesson and she willingly agreed to read the Book of Mormon.  After the lesson, we learned that this volunteer had been on two missions, and was on her third one here at the MTC (a part time one).   She is the mother of 12 children. . . a very lovely lady.

Tonight we went to a devotional with all the missionaries.  What a sight to see the room packed with these wonderful people --- young and old.   We have never heard the hymns sound so good when we sing.   Elder Kukuchi from the First Quorum of Seventy spoke to us.  It was very inspiring and touching.

We are getting to know some of the other senior couples.  We enjoy conversations over dinner and everyone is so friendly and fun to be around.  Everyone has different life stories.

  1. I am so Proud of you guys. Just you guys are so close to me, I live here in Provo about 10 minutes from the MTC, but they probably wouldn't allow visitors. I love you guys.
