Today was another day preparing a lesson on The Plan of Salvation to teach another investigator. We did better today than yesterday. We were more relaxed, and made a better attempt to get to know our investigator and involve her in the discussion. We tried to get away from just lecturing her. It worked better and she even gave us a hug when finished.
There are about 40 couples in the group of Senior Missionaries that came on Monday. We have been divided up into study groups of four couples to practice and go over what we learn in the larger group setting. All in our study group are going to mission offices. The Harts are going to Mexico, the McGraths are from Australia and are going back to Australia to serve, and the Jones' are going to West Africa. We have enjoyed meeting with them. We took a picture of all of us that we are posting on the blog. A lot of our training is done by returned missionaries that work here at the MTC. They are so good at what they do. They present the material with ease and conviction. We have been really impressed with them.
We were eating lunch today and in walked Eric Wagner (husband of our niece Liz) He works for the church and was here working with the call center phones. He wanted to find us, and was told to just look in the cafeteria because we would probably be there eating. It was fun to see him.
Tonight, some friends from our Italy days came to take us to dinner. John and Celestia Montrose live in Orem. We had a good visit and really enjoyed the evening.
