Just Office Work

The last two days have been busy at the office.  For me, I have been entering baptisms that have taken place the last two weeks. I am up to 40 and still have more to do. Hopefully I can get all the information I need by tomorrow for those that have been incomplete. It requires a lot of calling, and eats up a lot of my time. I am working on ways to train those that fill out the baptismal registers to be more accurate in recording the information.  Hope it works!

Rich has been busy this week getting data from the zone leaders and determining what money they will need for the upcoming month. They get extra money to take care of the responsibilities they have in paying some rents, gas, and lights for some apartments, plus money for medical needs of the missionaries in their zone. The week before transfers is always a busy one for the financial secretary.

Also, Elder Kroff has been going out with the office elders almost every night this week. They have four baptisms on Saturday, and they like to make contact with the people every day if possible to keep them motivated and focused on this important event in their lives. So one elder takes Rich with him and the other takes a priesthood brother in the ward to go visiting. That way they cover more ground. They left the office around 4:45 today and he got home at 7:00. I worked until about 5:30 and then walked home. If I am alone, I always make sure I am home before it gets dark which is around 6:00 p.m.

Our evening consisted of talking with brother Bob on Skype. He was in Nebraska visiting Carol's son and family. Then it was time for Elder Kroff to have a hair cut so he could remain looking like a missionary.  I did the honors, and it does look pretty good if I say so myself. For the past several years, Rich has gone to a barber instead of having me do it. I can't remember why I stopped cutting his hair. . . . it may have been when we moved in to take care of his mother.  But it makes me sad every time I cut his hair because the robbers took my hair clippers I brought from home, and although I had no sentimental connection to those clippers, I did love the little hair cutting scissors that used to belong to my mother. They were with the clippers and I just loved those scissors.  They were the best I have ever used. I cut her hair many, many times with those scissors and I just hated losing them.
I had another picture of our trip to the immigration building to get our visas, but yesterday I accidently deleted it.  So I was going to put it on todays entry, and it happened again.  I don't know what I keep doing to make that happen.  So, no pictures today.
