Exploring Again

Today was a good day at work.  The things I (jk) learned were things I found a little easier to remember and do for a change. Repetition is the key to having it sink in, but some things we've learned are not processes we use every day, so when it comes around again, it'll be like the first time all over.  That is what worries us.

Today after work we went in search of a wireless router so we can both use our computers at the same time.  It required another train ride to San Isidro which is where the mission office used to be a month ago.   We had an address of where an Apple store was located, so when we got off the train we walked and walked and asked questions for directions.  To our surprise, we recognized where we were.   When we tended the president's children a week ago, our trek to find a store I was looking for took us to this same area.  We were shocked that we were so close to the mission home.   But we found what we were looking for, and Rich came home and hooked it all up and it works.  So now we can work on the blog on one machine and the other person can email or do whatever on the other one.  It's a great achievement for us.
Our computers are our source of entertainment during the evening hours.   We watch CNN on the TV- - -it is in English. And every night the show "Crossing Jordan" comes on.  Then after that is a movie every night on the Hallmark channel.  They aren't Hallmark worthy shows like we have at home.  That is just what the channel is called.  Those three stations are the only ones we tune in to.  However, right now, Fox News is on.  I think I said before that the shows are in English with Spanish subtitles.

We had a meeting today with the president and the office staff to coordinate transfer week which will take place next Tuesday and Wednesday.  One of my duties is to prepare the agenda of what will take place and at what time.  Then in this meeting, the schedule is talked about and "tweaked" if necessary to make everything run smoothly.  There is a lot that goes into these two days and I pray that when I am responsible for ordering flights, or transportation to and from airports, and to and from the mission home etc. that I don't foul it up.  That would be a disaster and very embarrassing.
When we actually go through it all next week, we'll report on it then.

On our trip tonight to San Isidro, Rich pointed out the bank with which the mission deals.  Until they get set up with a bank in San Fernando, where we are now, they have to travel to this bank each week.

This is a cafe where people were eating on outside tables.  The Argentines are big on night life.  Dinner for them is usually around 8:00 p.m. or later.    Julie is standing on the corner.
