This has been a glorious day with warm, warm weather. The temperature reached 74. Oh, it felt soooo good! Now, if it could just last. But, Rich tells me it is suppose to rain tomorrow and Monday. Yuk!
We slept until 7:00 and went through our Saturday routine doing what we do on weekdays added with some housecleaning. All week we had in mind to go on an outing today to the Capital and see the Japanese Gardens and maybe the zoo that is close to it. But when we found out that the office elders had a baptism tonight, we scrapped that plan and decided we would just go somewhere closer. We decided to go to Tigre to Puerto de Frutos, the big outdoor shopping mall. We have several things on our "to buy" list that we have not yet purchased, and Puerto de Frutos is a great place to find anything and everything one would like to take back to the states. So that was the plan.
Then, about 11:00 this morning, Elder Lazo called and asked Rich if he could accompany them to visit the investigator that they failed to find a couple days ago. They would need him at 2:30. The office staff are the only ones that have Saturday as a P-day, and the other elders sometimes forget about that. But, we decided long ago that if we are needed for missionary work on our P-day that that will take precedence. So, we just ended up going to the grocery store for a few items and to the Farmacia for some meds.
While Rich went with the Assistants, I iron all his white shirts and hung the washed load of whites on our clothes rack and placed it out on our balcony to dry in the sun and warm breeze. They smelled so good when I brought them in.
We arrived home at 8:00 and typed on Skype chat with Melissa learning more about Urban's kindergarten assessment test he took on Friday. The teacher said that by the end of October, he should be able to read simple books. He scored high on alphabet identification. Good job, Urban!
You're becoming rather lackadaisical in your entries since losing the Larsons' readership! It does feel different now without them, I agree. On Saturday we (missionaries in our zone) baptized three children of a member couple who are here from Buenos Aires...
ReplyDeleteHey!! Quit swiping our baptisms....hehehe
