However, the weather was perfect -- sunny and in the mid 60's, and that made it difficult to stay home. We should take advantage of the good weather while it lasts.
This morning while I ironed white shirts, did more wash, and cleaned up a bit, Rich went out looking for a place to buy a new hose for our vacuum or some tape to fix the hole in the one we have. Every morning after the alarm goes off, he reaches over and turns on our space heater in the bedroom. But, in the dark he could not see that the vacuum hose was laying on top of it, and it burned a hole in it. His efforts to find a new one failed because of the fittings on the ends. The clerk he talked to told him how to cut the burned portion off and reattach the end to the fitting with some handy dandy glue he sold him. Uhhhh, we think we will have Silvio do it.
But, the best thing that could have happened today is that Rich found something we have been looking for. President Argyle has ordered a new magnetic transfer board for the office in the mission home. Right now he attaches the tablero cards or name cards to the board with velcro, as the backing on the board is some sort of material. It is really old fashioned and sometimes the cards don't stick on it very good. He wants to upgrade it for President Gulbrandsen and wanted me to find some magnetic strips to put on the back of the cards. Okay, but where?? We have been out looking with no success. But, today as Rich took a number and was waiting to be helped at a store, he saw some sheets with this magnetic backing that we are looking for. What a relief. I can't wait to tell the President.
I can't believe I have not stepped foot outside of our apartment all day. I did shake a rug out on the balcony, but that is connected to the apartment. I hope we don't make this a habit, to stay inside on our P-day. But, today was an exception.
