It wasn't too cold today, in fact very pleasant. But, it really looks like fall. I have a hard time deciding what to wear as it isn't cold enough for sweaters and really warm clothes, but a little chilly for light blouses. Oh, the dilemmas I have!!
After a slight drought in the medical department, things have picked up. Dr. Anderson thought I didn't like him anymore, but the last few days he has heard from me regularly. Today, it was about 11:30 a.m. before I put the last issue to bed. But it didn't last long because a couple calls came later in the afternoon.
Then I went straight to my supply room to get the orders and mail ready for the Litoral zone conference tomorrow. This is the one we attend so we will be tied up most of the day tomorrow. That necessitated me getting the things ready for Wednesday's conference too, so they can be loaded in the President's car when our conference is over.
The three elders in the office worked at their desks doing what they do, but didn't seem too overwhelmed and stressed today. Maybe they were faking it. It seemed nice to have periods of conversation and a more relaxed atmosphere. Usually our workload doesn't warrant much chit chatting.
Due to the Labor Day holiday on Saturday that the Argentines celebrate, all the markets that our office elders frequent were closed. So they were unable to do their grocery shopping. They left the office a few minutes early today to get their shopping done before they went preaching and teaching. They are such great guys - never moody and grumpy - always pleasant!
Rich and I left at 5:00, had left over roast for dinner and then I started this entry. Now I am going to try to study some Spanish and Rich will do some Record Indexing on the computer for the church. He signed up to do this before our mission and liked it, so he signed up again to do it in his spare time. He has also been working on making DVD's of the basketball games in the school tournament that Austin Argyle played in a while back. They are having him make one for all the members on the team, the coach, and the Argyle family want some.
We need to go to bed before 11:00 so we can get up a few minutes earlier than usual in order to be to the office by at least 8:30. Zone conference is held in our church and the President wants everyone seated, quiet, and studying at least 20 minutes before it begins in order to be spiritually prepared for the instruction that is given. That means us too. It begins at 9:00.
