No Excitement - Thursday, March 4, 2010

As I got ready for the day, I was mentally planning on what I had on my agenda at the office. I realize that if my binders and packets for transfer week are ready early, that this last week before transfers is more laid back. It is a good time to catch up on odds and ends that accumulate. So today was going to be a catch up day. I was excited!

Elder Santos, from the South in Rio Gallegos, called at my request at 7:30. He is plagued with migrane headaches and nothing seems to be working. The doctor has changed his medication and he is to call for a few days to report on how it is affecting him. It is still a little early to see if this will be the right one or not.

Shortly after arriving at the office, Sister Argyle came by and we always have a fun visit with her. They only have four months left to serve. It will seem so strange to have a new president, but at the same time anticipation creates interest. We wonder what the changes might be.

Tomorrow night when we go to the activity with the Senior Couples at the Area Offices, we are taking a page I've made for a book they are making for Dr. Petersen and his wife. Sister Petersen always took it upon herself to make a remembrance gift like this for other couples who were leaving, so Sister Barton is doing the same for the good doctor and his wife. Rich took our letter and attached picture of ourselves to a copy place so it could be printed off on a color printer. The results are perfect.

I had two entries to finish tonight, so with no reason to stay late at the office today, we left again at 4:30. Dinner of potatoes, corn, and a chicken patty was sufficient as we read emails and blogs of family and friends.

It was nice to be home tonight as we have a full weekend coming up, and for the next three nights we will be gone. If it is too late to complete a journal entry on the blog, my posting will be behind. Bear with me! Sorry, no pictures tonight.
