The other evening while Julie was working on our blog, I was surfing the church's website and followed the link to the First Presidency Christmas Devotional. I started with President Uchtdorf's talk. His words on seeing with our hearts sunk deep into my own heart and left me pondering his message. I went to the written text so I could go slower, pause, and contemplate. After finishing, my hunger still was not satisfied so I went back and listened to the talk again. This time I focused on his reference to the, "Little Prince". Still desiring to dig deeper, I went to that story on the Internet and began reading. I was overwhelmed. This is where the Spirit was gently guiding me. What a powerful little book!! Every chapter is filled with great insights into listening with our hearts and how we should teach and learn. I am only reading one chapter a day because the things to learn in each chapter are so deep. This is probably old news for Denny because of his strong English and French background. But, for me it is new and comes at a time in my life that I am ready to learn the lessons from this little book. I have given links to both the talk and the book below for those of you that are also ready. For those that aren't maybe you can store them in your heart and return at a future date to feast upon this delicious fruit.
