The title of our entry refers to a new discovery we made today, but I can't talk about it because the pictures we took can't be posted. Rich left his card reader at the office, so he can't download them onto the computer. It was 9:00 when we returned home from our evening out, and I didn't want him walking back to the office just to get it, even though he offered. It can wait.
After our successful day yesterday in getting our papers for the insurance notarized, we didn't want to waste any time getting them in the mail. Elder Valente suggested that we send them by DHL carrier service - - the yellow and red envelopes. There is one located at the Unicenter, so we decided to drive over there after work and get it done. It is a more secure way of sending things and will take less time than the Argentine Correo. It is a bit expensive. . . about $40, but worth it to get it there faster. It should arrive on Monday. It has been two months since the robbery and we need to get the claim submitted.
I worked on my new missionary carpetas today. It requires a lot of running off copies of information to go behind five different tabs which are: La Misión (Mission History & maps), Seguridad (security), Finanzas (finances), Salud (Health), and Discursos (Talks by Elder Bednar, Elder Ballard, & Pres. Kimball). Even though they are not needed for two weeks, I hope to have them done by Friday. They are a lot of work and I hate feeling rushed to get them done. I would make too many mistakes and leave something out for sure.
Rich worked all day on what finance secretaries do. I can't pay that much attention to what he does all day, but I am proud of him for learning all that complicated stuff. He is doing a great job with it, and I'm just glad it is him and not me.
We did take a break in the afternoon because he had to buy a fridge for one of the missionary's apartments. I needed to get out of the office for a little while and take a break, so I went with him to this appliance store where they purchase things for the apartments in the mission. It was quite interesting to see the different types of stoves, refrigerators, washing machines, and many other appliances. I only found one stove that had degrees labeled on it. All of the others were like mine making it necessary to open and close the door several times to adjust the heat.
Earlier in the morning, Elder Kroff had to walk to a place he found close to the office where he could pay some facturas (bills). On the way, he took some pictures of something they do here in Argentina that we find interesting.
Tomorrow our temperature is suppose to be around 67 degrees. Does that seem like winter is approaching? What a roller coaster!
