The sun came up. All is well again. We got to the office a little earlier today (only 15 minutes earlier) and I started right in getting my orders ready to email to the Distribution Center. First, I have to fill out the order form on line and attach it to my email. I have never done it all by myself, so I was a little nervous. I am glad Elder Kroff is right by me so I can use him as a sounding board and he can help me if I get stuck. It is awful to be so "computer challenged". But I am learning.
It took me until the early afternoon to complete all my ordering, and recheck to see if the two Latin missionaries really did have flights secured to go home in three weeks. They do, thank goodness. The only glitch is . . . . the Elder leaves in the morning, and our sweet Sister doesn't fly out until 6:00 at night. But that was the only option open for her flight. I am not sure what she will do all day. . . . maybe attend a temple session, or hopefully Sister Argyle will know what to do in a situation like this. At least I have her on a plane that day.
I was anxious to start working on getting the baptisms entered in the computer. I am pleased that I can do it a lot faster than I could two or three months ago. Back then, I could see no light at the end of the tunnel with this process. It just seemed so time consuming and slow. But I entered about half of my stack before we left around 6:00. I felt pretty good about that.
Today one of the Assistants came to do a baptism interview over in the church with an eleven year old boy. His mother is studying the church too, but was not ready for baptism yet. And, the grandmother is going to investigate it - - maybe. She was here with her grandson, so while the interview was going on, Elders Kroff and Nelson talked to her about the church and gave her the first discussion. Elder Nelson didn't take the lead, so Rich jumped right in and talked about Christ and the apostasy. She seemed interested.
Our evenings at home consist of visiting on Skype sometimes (Saxton's are on tonight). Love all those cords under the table, huh! But this modern technology is amazing, and we are so grateful to be apart of it. To be able to visit with family, and especially to see our grandkids takes the sting out of being apart from them.
This is my usual position each night. . . sitting on one chair and using the other as a foot stool. It works! The laundry is dry and ready to fold. Our little rack holds about four days worth of underwear. The white shirts are hanging to dry from the shower curtain rod.
Tomorrow should be interesting. I am manning the office by myself for about 3 hours. I also made spaghetti sauce tonight to take to the office for lunch tomorrow. The Elders looked hungry today.
